Dr. Alyssa O’Dell

Dr. Alyssa O’Dell is a dedicated veterinarian serving the Greater Columbia Area since 2015. With a strong commitment to animal welfare and health, she provides exceptional veterinary care, specializing in comprehensive wellness exams, preventive care, and compassionate treatment for pets of all ages and breeds. Dr. O’Dell is skilled in diagnosing and treating various medical and dermatologic conditions. She offers surgical expertise when necessary and provides personalized nutritional and behavioral advice to pet owners. 

Beyond her veterinary practice, Dr. O’Dell has a keen interest in dog sports and training. She actively participates in and promotes activities such as agility, obedience, rally, canine scent work, and canine fitness, emphasizing the importance of physical exercise and mental stimulation for dogs. Her passion for dog sports extends to educating pet owners on the benefits of these activities for their pets’ overall well-being. 

Dr. O’Dell earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Oklahoma State University. She remains committed to continuous learning through ongoing education and training, staying updated with advancements in veterinary medicine. 

Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr. O’Dell enjoys spending time outdoors with her own pets, camping and hiking with her partner, Dr. Jason Wright (also a veterinarian!), and spending time with family and friends.
